My Cyclops love, An ode to my PC

You look at me
And I at you
Your eye so big
I mustn’t look away
You flicker your icons
I click on your docs
We are naughty
You and me
The longer I look
The more my eyes water
Your eye saps my energy
Slowly but surely
I tire of your gaze
I’m so very tired
Do not be offended
But I must look away
I will be back tomorrow
To gaze once again
My Cyclops love
It’s time to shut down
Goodnight Cyclops love

When I first read this I misread the intro and thought it was a poem Salman Hushdie had written about you, Rowetta.

I like it. We are naughty/You and me. That bit made me smile, gorgeously simple but it sounds so cool. x

not but it sounds so cool, AND it sounds so cool.

    what does Cyclops mean?

  7. Oliver says:

Cyclops means ’roundeye’ from the Greek ‘kuklos’: circle (as in ‘cycle’ — literally like ‘wheel’) and ‘ops’: eye. In greek myth the cyclops were a category of giant, recognisable by their one big eye in the middle of their forehead.
